Frequently asked questions
What strength of CBD oil to choose ?
When choosing a CBD product, it's helpful to consider not only the percentage concentration but also how many milligrams of CBD are in each drop. The higher the concentration, the more CBD you get per drop:
5% CBD oil: ~2.5 mg
10% CBD oil: ~5 mg
15% CBD oil: ~7.5 mg
20% CBD oil: ~10 mg
30% CBD oil: ~15 mg
40% CBD oil: ~20 mg
The effects may vary depending on factors such as body weight, individual tolerance, or the purpose of use. It is recommended to consult a healthcare professional to determine the appropriate dosage.
What is CBD ?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring molecule found in hemp plants. It was discovered in 1940 and continues to be actively researched for its potential effects on the human body.
CBD is commonly used in cosmetic products and, in some countries, also in pharmaceuticals. Although it is derived from hemp, it does not have a psychoactive effect and is legal in many countries worldwide, including Lithuania.
What is CBD used for ?
CBD products can serve various purposes - from cosmetic applications to dietary supplements -depending on the regulations of each country. For example, in cosmetics, CBD is often used for skincare.
In some countries, CBD is also used as a dietary supplement. However, in Lithuania, CBD is classified as a “novel food”, which means Hempo CBD products should only be used as directed on their packaging.
Is CBD legal in Lithuania ?
Yes. According to the amendments to the Lithuanian Law on Hemp No. XII-336, CBD products, their sale, and use are allowed. However, it is important to note that the content of the psychoactive substance tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in these products must not exceed 0.2%. Here you can find the laboratory test results of our products.
How to use CBD ?
Usage instructions may vary depending on the type and concentration of the product, so always follow the information provided on the packaging or in the product description. It is recommended to gently shake the bottle before use.
CBD effects can be individual – some users start with a lower amount and gradually increase it while monitoring how they feel. In some countries, it is advised not to exceed 200 mg of CBD per day, but it's always best to consult a healthcare professional for personalized guidance.
It's also important to know that CBD’s effects may develop gradually, especially during first-time use – this depends on individual factors.
How long does it take for CBD to start working ?
The onset time of CBD product effects can vary depending on the product form, method of use, and individual body characteristics.
CBD oil usually starts to take effect within 15–30 minutes.
CBD capsules may begin to work within 40–90 minutes.
CBD patches have a gradual effect – in some cases, sensations are noticed only after a few hours.
Can CBD products cause side effects ?
Some clinical studies indicate that CBD is generally well-tolerated, but each person’s body may react differently. Although side effects are rare, some users may experience symptoms such as fatigue, changes in appetite, or skin irritation.
If you notice an unwanted reaction, it is recommended to discontinue use and consult a doctor if needed.
Additionally, it’s important to note that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has included CBD on its list of permitted substances, meaning it is considered safe for use by professional athletes under current regulations.
What is Full-spectrum CBD oil ?
Full-spectrum CBD oil features a wide range of natural compounds from the hemp plant – it contains not only CBD but also other cannabinoids such as CBG and CBN, as well as terpenes and flavonoids.
This type of oil is often associated with the so-called “Entourage Effect,” which describes the interaction of multiple compounds within the same formula. It is believed that this synergy may influence the overall user experience, although effects can vary depending on individual factors.
What is Broad-spectrum CBD oil ?
Broad-spectrum CBD oil is an extract that typically retains several or more compounds from the hemp plant (such as cannabinoids and terpenes), but THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) has been removed.
In Hempo’s broad-spectrum CBD oil, a significant amount of phytocannabinoids and terpenes is preserved, while THC is absent (undetectable according to third-party laboratory tests).
Are hemp oil and CBD oil the same ?
No. Hemp oil and CBD oil are two different products. Hemp oil is extracted from hemp seeds and is mostly used in food production, valued for its omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
Meanwhile, CBD oil is extracted from hemp flowers and leaves and is valued for the beneficial cannabinoids it contains. These two oils have completely different effects and uses. You can learn more about the effects of CBD oil by reading this article.
Is CBD safe for pregnant women and children ?
For pregnant women:
Before starting to use CBD hemp oil, we recommend consulting with a qualified doctor (such as a dermatologist) or specialist.
For children:
Although many parents report that CBD oil helps their children, there are still no clinical studies confirming the safety of CBD for children. Therefore, before giving CBD to your child, it is essential to consult with a qualified specialist. If you still decide to use CBD, choose THC-free products (for example, broad-spectrum CBD oil).
Can I use a discount code if the product already has a discount ?
Discounts cannot be combined, so if you try to use a discount code on a product that is already discounted, you will see the message: "Discount code is not valid."
Can Hemp products be purchased in a physical store ?
Yes. Hempo products can be purchased at the Central Universal Store (CUP) located at Upės St. 9 in Vilnius, on the 3rd floor at the retail location called "CBDHome".
